Soak-a-way Replacement
Soak-a-ways are designed to allow the final effluent liquors from septic tanks and small sewage systems to dissipate into the surrounding land or open water
course. They are usually constructed of small diameter aggregate, which allows the liquors to flow through slowly, thus restricting the flow rate. However,
over time they do become clogged with every day detritus and sludge particles from the septic tank. A partially or blocked soak-a-way will cause the final
effluent to back up, causing a blockage and may also give off odours.
Have your septic tank emptied regularly to maximise the life of your soak-a-way.
